50/50 Raffle Official Rules
General
By participating in any of the 2025 sunnysidefoundation5050.com By Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc. Raffles ("Raffle"), entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc., which shall be binding and final as to all matters related to the Raffle. The Raffle is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and is void where prohibited.
Jackpot
The "Jackpot" shall be the total proceeds from raffle tickets sold for that drawing ("Raffle Tickets"), less reasonable expenses incurred by Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc. for the operation of the Raffle. The Jackpot will be publicly posted during the Raffle. If there is a surplus of deducted expenses, such proceeds shall be retained by Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc. and donated to charity. If deductions are insufficient to cover expenses, Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc will absorb the costs.
Raffle Proceeds
Fifty percent (50%) of the Jackpot will benefit the Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc. program, a intergenerational culture of learning by investing in projects rooted in courage, community, equity and imagination in Tucson's Southside.
Eligibility
The Raffle is open only to individuals who, at the time of entry, are located in the State of Arizona and are eighteen (18) years of age or older. While anyone may enter, Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc. reassures and affirms that none of its members, directors, officers, employees, or agents have received or will receive any direct or indirect pecuniary benefit other than being able to participate in the raffle on a basis equal to all other participants. By participating, each and every entrant agrees to be subject to these Official Rules.
Purchasing Raffle Tickets
ALL PURCHASES MUST BE MADE BY ELIGIBLE ENTRANTS LOCATED WITHIN THE STATE OF ARIZONA AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE.
There is no limit to the number of Raffle Tickets an individual may purchase. All Raffle Ticket purchases are final, and no refunds or replacements will be issued. Raffle Tickets are valid only for the drawing held after the applicable Purchase Period.
Raffle Tickets Are Not Tax Deductible
The IRS considers raffle tickets to be non-deductible as charitable contributions.
Prize
Each winner will receive fifty percent (50%) of the Jackpot.
Taxes
Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, fees, and charges associated with the prize. Federal law may require withholding on certain prize values, and any changes in tax law will be followed.
Selection of Winner
One (1) Raffle Ticket will be drawn at the conclusion of the applicable Purchase Period to determine the prize winner. The winning Raffle Ticket number will be posted on the Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc. website and may also be announced in the stadium, on social media, or during Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc. broadcasts.
Prize Claim
The prize claimant must notify Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc. within thirty (30) days of the drawing and provide verifiable proof of the winning ticket. If multiple claimants share a winning ticket, the direct purchaser will be presumed to be the sole winner. Claimants must provide all necessary information, including tax identification information, and complete an Affidavit, Prize Claim, and Release within five (5) business days of receiving it. Unclaimed prizes will be retained by Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc. for charitable use.
Odds
The odds of winning the Raffle depend on the number of Raffle Tickets purchased for the applicable drawing.
Transfer of Raffle Tickets or Prize
Raffle Tickets may be gifted to eligible persons but may not be resold. Any resold tickets are void. A winner may transfer their prize to an eligible third party, who will then be responsible for associated taxes and costs.
Administration
The Raffle will be conducted by Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc., which reserves the right to modify these Official Rules at any time.
Release of Liability
By participating, entrants release Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc. and its affiliates from any claims, injuries, or losses arising out of the Raffle, including property damage or personal injury.
Publicity Release
By accepting a prize, winners grant Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc. permission to use their name, likeness, and prize information for promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
General Conditions
Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc. & is not responsible for technical difficulties, errors, or issues with Raffle Ticket purchases, entry processing, or prize distribution. Sunnyside Unified School District Foundation, Inc. reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Raffle due to unauthorized intervention or other causes affecting fairness.
Governing Law
The Raffle and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any disputes shall be resolved in Pima County, Arizona.
